About Me
I was raised with the mindset of perseverance, despite obstacles. This business was began as a way to continue a legacy. Creations by Lena was inspired by the nurturing example of my late mother, Evelina who illustrated, beauty, style and creativity. As a product of my mother’s creation, that same creativity flows through my veins! At Creations by Lena we believes in, freedom of expression and embracing the most authentic version of yourself through unique apparel.
Crafting projects at an early age was a favortie pasttime. Raised in Buffalo, NY in the Fruit Belt community, I received sewing lessons at CAO center on High Street that was a foundational start of this embroidery journey and I've been honing those skills ever since.
Unfortunately, before completing the master’s program, my mother suddenly passed away. Prior to her passing, we began planting the seed to form a family business of custom creations centered around our passion. During this difficult transition, crafting became a form of self-care between studies, patient treatment and grief. My mother's final words to me were, “I’ve always been proud of everything you’ve done.” Seeking to finish what my mother and I started, Creations by Lena was born!
Creations by Lena is a custom embroidery company that takes pride in transforming images, digital files, drawings and even handwriting, into stitched designs for placement on a wide range of apparel and accessories. Each project is skillfully crafted and tailored to our clients’ needs. Creations by Lena was started by a homegrown Buffalonian, so it’s only fitting we give back. Seeking to foster hope through the business by donating a portion of the proceeds from the "Love Mom" collection to local soup kitchens and women’s shelters in the Buffalo area.
